After a few months of hearing about Lauren and Pilates from one of my friends, I decided to try it out. I was never very athletic or flexible so the thought of Pilates terrified me. After going to my first few classes, I was glad I decided to give it a try. Being a beginner, Lauren tailored the session to my skill level and explained each move to me step by step. When Lauren first talked to me about Pilates, I was skeptical. But then came my first session, that was all it took. I am now a true believer. As a firefighter I use almost every part of my body but, I find that my workouts in the gym don't hit those often needed muscle groups. Lauren is very energetic and knowledgeable. I have frequent back and neck pain from chasing around two little kids. Pilates was relaxing and peaceful, but challenging at the same time. Pilates was never something that I thought I would enjoy because I like playing sports and doing more cardiovascular activities. But Lauren convinced me to give it a try, and I have to admit that I really loved it! Lauren made Pilates fun! For the past 5 years, I have been prone to experience chronic knee pain. I went to several doctors and hired personal trainers. It was brought to my attention that after 55+ years I walked improperly and had poor posture. Lauren talked to me about Pilates, and I decided to give it a try.
